WHO WE ARE
Our Story
SHUK takes its name from the bustling markets of the Middle East — those sun-warmed alleys piled with spices, fresh herbs and warm bread, where strangers become friends over a shared plate. We brought that energy to the heart of Athens, on Ermou Street, where food, culture and community sit down at the same table.
Everything we make starts with great ingredients: fresh produce, aromatic herbs and the authentic spices that carry generations of Levantine and Mediterranean cooking. Our hummus is creamy and made by hand, our pita is baked fresh and pulled warm from the oven, and dishes like falafel, shawarma, shakshuka and crisp golden schnitzel are prepared with care — traditional recipes given a modern, generous touch.
More than a restaurant, SHUK is a place where people connect. Come share mezze with friends, settle in for a relaxed family dinner, or discover these flavours for the very first time. Every Friday from 2 to 5pm we fill the room with live Greek music, dancing and the joyful custom of plate breaking. Here, every meal tells a story — and every guest becomes part of ours.
